Sunscape Casa del Mar La Roma is an excellent vacation resort. Entertainment ongoing day and night. Casa Del Mar is terrific for families, singles and couples. The beach is wonderful. Never any problems finding a lounge chair be it by the beautiful beach or by one of the two pools.
Manicured gardens cover the grounds at this resort, and palm trees abound. The beach has a snorkeling area, calm waters and plenty of varieties of fish to observe, along with a few eels, and puffer fish. However, as a diver, I can say I was disappointed with the damage to the reef around the hotel. Dive Hut on site providing gear and boat excursions.
Tropical drinks were easy to find. Swim up bar at the Infinity pool was a blast! The staff was very friendly and always catering to your needs. On site vendors selling souvenirs and trinkets are abundant. Cigar vendors on site with a wide selection of Dominican Republic Cigars to sample. Vendors are on site day and night just about 7 days a week. Make sure your negotiation skills are fine tuned. The vendors are friendly and abundantly persistent.
Explorer Club for the kids 3-12. Activities include arts and crafts, movies, sand castle building, excursions........and much much more. The beach is calm and kid-friendly.
Spa treatments are affordable and a wide assortment of packages to choose from. Make sure you go to the spa and get a massage, after all, you are on vacation!
As with any resort, after a few days you probably will be tired of the buffet. However, there are many other restaurants at the resort to choose from. For the price point, I would recommend Sunscape Casa Del Mar, the hotel has plenty to offer and is quite beautiful and well maintained.

The accommodations have simple decor, and are comfortable and clean. Not extremely fancy but quite nice. Sunscape Casa del Mar is on the south east coast of the Dominican Republic, in the La Romana area of “Bayahibe”, 20 minutes from the La Romana International Airport, 75 minutes from the Punta Cana International Airport, and 90 minutes from Santo Domingo International Airport. I would suggest flying into Romana International airport. It is a short 10-15 minute drive to the hotel. Nice little airport, gift shops and a few fast food places to eat.
Enjoyed the hotel and would not hesitate to return. Unlimited-Fun in the sun!
